A double drama occurred in this pass weekend whereas a 10 year old young girl was the victim of a rape and that the father of the supposed attacker gave himself death, not being able to support the intrigues of his son. Who more is, the attacker itself would have tried to commit suicide while wanting to hang itself from a bridge. Patrick Bachand, a 23 years old student of Trois-Rivières, would have indeed tested remorse and would have liked to finish some quickly with the life. The fast intervention of the police officers however prevented the young man from making the irrevocable one. But the affair had dramatic consequences on the family of the accused. After been advise of the gestures of his son, the father of Patrick Bachand did not support and had committed suicide by drawing a bullet in the head. The drama of Saint-Pascal: Wednesday September 12^th 2001!

The municipality of Saint-Pascal of Kamouraska, was the horrible scene of a drama. A 28 year old man Francis Thériault, a 21 year old woman Lison Dubé, thus a young five years old girl named Sandra and Ariane a one year old baby, all from the same family, died in what has all appearances of a family drama. Simon Chamberland, 25 year old would have gone, towards 3:00AM, the morning of Wednesday September 12th, at elderly home des Saules, at 229, Foyer des Saules street, in Sainte-Marie where his grandmother Claire Ouellet-Bourgault, 78 year old, occupied a room in the basement. Two died in VTT at La Patrie Saturday September 15^th 2001!

An evening between friends turned to drama, Saturday evening, when an accident of cross-country vehicle made two in a woody sector located between La Patrie and Notre-Dame-des-Bois. Victims, Louis-Martin Roy, 20 year old, and Patrick Couture, 27 year old, both of Sherbrooke, took the paths in VTT at the CHUS of the night to go seek for a video cassette left in a van at the edge of road 212. They never returned to find their four buddies who awaited them in a country cottage located in the middle of the forest at approximately six kilometres of La Patrie. According to first observations, the two men entered in collision with a tree. They would similarly have died on the impact. A drunk driver is at the origin of a frontal collision which caused the death of a motorist of Saint-Fulgence, towards 5AM, Tuesday September 18^th, in Canton Tremblay, Saguenay. Seven bodies in John Bauer's house, a father of Kirkland killed his family. The six bodies found by firemen, around 10AM in the residence of the family of John and Helen Bauer, in Kirkland, in the West Island of Montreal, carried all the trace of bullets. The six victims of Bauer, his wife, Helen Caroll, 50, his three sons, Jonathan, 22, Wesley, 18 and Justin, 14, his father-in-law, Elmer Caroll, 75, and his owner, Lucio Beccherini, 44, all were killed out shots drawn to the back of their head, with a 22 gauge gun with a four inches cannon-gun, which did not had a silencer. The weapon had been stolen in 1987 in a private residence of Vaudreuil. They are unaware of how Bauer, advantageously known in his community and without legal antecedent, had itself gotten. The police officers of SQ and Terrebonne found the waitress Tanya Melzer, 27 year old missing since September 15th, she had left, around 10:00PM, the restaurant Le Château de la Lune, on the Boulevard des Seigneurs at Terrebonne, where she had just finished her work. Mother of two boys of four and seven years living with her partner of life in fact Jean Dagenais 33 years. She was found assassinated in a wood at the end of the Gagnon Road, at Val-des-Lacs, not far from Sainte-Agathe. A young couple from Lac-Saint-Jean gave themselves death by throwing from the top of the Southern platform of the Pierre-Laporte bridge, Wednesday September 26th in the morning, in Saint-Nicholas, result of what the police believes being a pact of suicide. The 20 year old man and the 21 year old woman made a fall of 15 meters (49 feet), around 5:35AM, they lay on the road of the bridge. Two teenagers died in a tragic way, during the night of September 27th 2001, when they remained prisoners of a car in flames after a yaw, in Saint-Nazaire, at Lac-Saint-Jean. Mathieu Saint-Pierre, 17 year old of Saint-Bruno and Janessa Boily, 16 year old, of Alma, perished burned inside the Honda Civic of the young conductor, in front of 492, road 172. Under the influence of alcohol, a driver is at the origin of a road accident which cost the life to his bosom friend Robertine Côté, 55 year old, Saturday evening on September 29th from Epiphany. The faulty conductor, a 55 year old man, failed two drunk tests. He will appear Monday October 1st under a charge of driver with weakened faculties having caused death. The first accident occurred around 7:45PM in a sand pit of Lochaber Ouest by carrying out a jump, a young driver of 15 year old from Thurso fell to the ground before receiving his own vehicle on the body. A suspected biker gang member wanted in the fatal shooting of a 17 year old Montreal boy surrendered to police Tuesday. Benoit Guimond, 29, turned up at homicide squad headquarters late in the evening, accompanied by his lawyer. Guimond, described by the police as a member the Rockers, a Hells Angels affiliate, was wanted on a Canada wide warrant in the October 20^th death of Marc-Alexandre Chartrand. Chartrand was shot dead as he waited to enter a downtown bar. The arrest warrant was issued after Chartrand was hit by random gunfire while waiting in line to enter the Aria after-hours club at about 4:00AM. Police said the shooting occurred after five or six men who identified themselves as members of a motorcycle gang were refused entry to the club. Police said a scuffle ensued, a weapon was produced and the shooter started firing wildly, hitting Chartrand in the chest. He died in the hospital. In the Eastern Township, Jean-Michel Morel, 21 year old, originating from Rock Forest, lost the control of his car around 10:15PM in Waterloo. A violent collision cost Marie-Pier Lefebvre her life, a 17 years old teenager from Coaticook, little after 11:30PM Saturday at the intersection of King streets East and Kennedy in the downtown area of Sherbrooke, very close to the place where the traffic merges from two ways to only one. Sat on the passenger side of the Hyundai Excel, the girl did not have any chance when the driver lost the control of his car and got hit by a Nissan Maxima much heavier and down hill from the opposite direction into the right side of his car at the door level.
