The challenge is serious, Terry Fox knows it. For eighteen months, the young man follows a program of intensive drive to relearn to walk, then to run with his artificial leg but also for remuscler his body weakened by the disease. During its course, it must face often difficult weather conditions: winds violent one, cold, rain verglaçante, torrid and wet heat. But it will be necessary some more to stop it. Started from Midsummer's Day, Newfoundland, in the general indifference, Terry Fox quickly attracts itself the sympathy of the public, which comes in great number to encourage it along its course. Very quickly also, the media decide to support the young long-distance runner unijambist in his step.
