(A translation from an original at my best knowledge)

April 22, 1996, 1 reached Tallahassee which is the capital of the State of Florida. As President, Founder and Controller of Serge Bourassa-Lacombe's Fondation, I said to myself that day: "I have peddled my bicycle more than 5000 miles (8000 Km), spent five months in Florida in more than three hundred towns, and by now those Floridian people know me well enough to end my promotional bike ride, right in the capital. Almost all of you knew that my intention was to return to my country following the same route that 1 took to get here, to thank all my sponsor-partners which GOD provided to me on my way. I can't do this, so I giving out this flyer to thank you and update you on my journey.

Bullet5.gif (101 octets)  Feb 5, 1996 : From Key West to Miami Beach --» I sent a registered letter explaining my goal to the Prime Minister of Canada and confirmation copies to 7 people.

Bullet5.gif (101 octets)  From Florida City to Miami Beach, 57 + 8 post cards were mailed one by one to reveal this peaceful day.

      Bullet5.gif (101 octets)  March 8, 1996: From Daytona -» 1 had mail 77 +1 envelopes to commemorate 300 days on the road.

Bullet5.gif (101 octets)  May 17, 1996 From Tallahassee--» 1 sent a fax of 95 pages to the Cabinet of the Minister of Canada at (613) 941-6900. 1 explained the history and purpose of my foundation, with more detail..

After studying this material, they told me that I need to take this matter to the court system in Quebec or to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. That is my next goal, and I will go back home to pursue it as soon as possible. I am looking now for sponsors who will help me do that.

Since you saw me, 1 have acquired a dog. 1 call him Fox. I first saw Fox at 11:00 p.m. in Chipley. This town is located 77 miles from the end of my tour. He was homeless; we camped together that night. The next morning, he followed my bicycle for seven miles, in spite of cutting a foot during his run. I found a farmer in Cottondale who is taking care of him for my foundation. Because I feel that GOD put Fox on my path for a reason, and because I need to follow GOD'S will, I will pull Fox in a trailer up the east coast of North America to Maine when I go back.

Since the beginning of my tour, 1 have promoted my self-named foundation, Canada United, united with the United States and the rest of the world. That will become the key of my foundation's success, because as you know by now for GOD'S will and his glory I will never give up. When I can, I will see you, again.

I am committed to the formation of a foundation which will guard against anyone else having to suffer the injustices I suffered in 1995 in a psychiatric hospital in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. At age 37, with no previous record, I was arrested without explanation, handcuffed, and placed in a "closed cure" at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Sherbrooke, for 57 days. During that time, I was fed poorly, injected with drugs in combinations and amounts that could have killed me, provoked by doctors who were trying to prove I had a violent nature, and then released, April 12, 1995. I investigated to find out why all this had happened. I had been mistaken for a man whose name and birth date matched mine, who had been convicted of several rapes, and for whom they had been looking since 1979. On October 11, 1995 police confirmed the result of my criminal investigation, and I applied for a legal name change. Since then, having a psychiatry record has interfered terribly with my life both personally and professionally. It affected my previous goal to study veterinary science (which is why I know about the drugs I was injected with), and sent me on this bicycle tour in America. For my own security I feel I must stay out of Quebec until my new ID is complete. On my tour I have gained many, many supporters who would testify to my health, my honesty, and my dedication to Serge Bourrassa Lacombe's Fondation
