Daniel Smith was born January 22, 1986 and died September 10, 2006
Daniel Smith, missing son of the late Anna Nicole Smith, died as a result of taking a mixture of methadone and antidepressants, a drug cocktail that would have been fatal in five hours, testified Monday the medical examiner. The findings of Dr. Govinda Raju, who performed the autopsy on Daniel Smith, confirms those of a private doctor who had performed the first autopsy shortly after the death of the young man of 20, when he made a visit to his mother, who had just given birth to the little girl.
the Dr. Raju said that the death of Daniel Smith was following the combined ingestion of methadone, Zoloft (antidepressant) and Lexapro (antidepressant prescribed especially in cases of generalized anxiety disorder, ndlr). Five different medications were found in total in his body, two of which have been used to revive him after he collapsed in the maternity room of his mother. Both drugs of last resort could be responsible for bruising on the back and shoulders of the young man. A third molecule, that of the hypnotic Ambien (sleeping pill), also part of the drug cocktail discovered. the last companion of Anna Nicole Smith, Howard K. Stern, himself a lawyer, who attended the last moments of the young Daniel, said that his medication had been prescribed by doctors to fight either against depression or against back pain.
